Top 5 Wednesday- Books from Before You Joined…

Hello bookworms,

For this week’s Top 5 Wednesday it is all about our favorite books that we love before we were apart of the book community. I only started to be apart of the book community in the winter of 2015 on Blogspot. I then had my book blog on Blogspot for a couple months until I switched over to WordPress! So my blog is only a little over a year old.

5.)

Dark Visions by L.J. Smith

I read this book years ago. I think I was in 7th or 8th grade when I read it with Madeline. I don’t remember much from the book (that means I am due for a re-read!) but I do remember that I absolutely loved it!

4.)

Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

I was obsessed with the idea of fallen bad boy angels. And this book was perfect for me! I loved it so very much! But I did read this book a long time ago, and I am due for a re-read!

3.)

Fallen by Lauren Kate

I most likely went through this phase of reading books about fallen angels. All I wanted was to read books about them! I just loved it and this series was amazing!

2.)

Stolen by Lucy Christopher

A book couldn’t give me more chills than this one! I was hooked the moment I read the first page. I never really thought that there would be such a clever idea as to write a book about a girl’s days as being a captive and getting Stockholm Syndrome. It really was so clever and so interesting.

1.)

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

My mom bought this book for me a few years ago for Christmas. I think she did a great job because now I live and breathe the Shadowhunters series. I am just too obsessed!

So here you have my personal favorites from before I joined the book community. Some are already popular books that everyone seems to read, but that is okay. I at least did not add Harry Potter (even though it is a personal favorite from before I joined the book community). I wanted to shake things up a bit and not add something so predictable such as Harry Potter.

XOXO,

Cayla

    1. I do agree that the Fallen movie wasn’t the best and it definitely did not give the book much justice. I watched the City of Bones movie too, but I think I was resilient to the injustice that was done on the book. Weird right? But none the less the Mortal Instruments were amazing even after watching the dreadful movie.

      1. Oh I never watched the Fallen movie… I dont know that I knew there was one. I remember seeing the book and being over it. Now I feel the need to find the movie. As far as The City of Bones movie, I didn’t care one way or the other about the injustices done either. I actually barely remember the movie lol

      2. Yes there is a Fallen movie! But it did not come out in America. I actually watched it while I was abroad. But apparently it is coming to America in September of this year! I think I just hit one of the phases like the phases so many people where in after Twilight (all obsessed with werewolves and vampires). I was that person who decided that it was a great idea to watch the movie 3 times in theaters because I was so shocked that the book was a movie! Now, I don’t care for the movie anymore. haha ! What a time for me to be obsessed with Fallen Angels! Yikes hahaha

      3. I was one who went in the opposite direction after Twilight ended…. I was like I don’t want to read another damn vampire werewolf book ever! Then my cousin introduced me to Vampire Academy and I switched to okay, maybe SOME vampire books.
